No Prior Training or Experience Required

Getting started with the Ramsey Rescue Squad is as easy as 1,2,3!

1. Complete a preliminary application & interview with our Membership Committee

2. Once approved and voted on by the department & Borough of Ramsey, you will go through orientation & basic training, including CPR and First Aid

3. Completion of in-house Level One training program and probationary period

Ramsey Rescue offers amazing, additional opportunities and experiences:

• Free Training: NJ Firefighter, Heavy Rescue Technician, Hazardous Materials Technician, NJ EMT-Basic, Specialty Rescue Courses!

• Stipend Incentive: Percentage based participation and duty crew
