The Ramsey Rescue Squad is currently conducting a membership campaign to attract new members 16 and older. All of the squad's high school seniors have been accepted at colleges, in which they will be living away from home. Also, the organization's activities have increased as its services are called upon more frequently.
The rescue squad is also seeking old cars that the owners no longer need or use. The group will arrange to have the vehicle towed from its location, free of charge, and the owner will receive a receipt for income tax purposes. The automobiles are used for extrication drills and several exercises are scheduled for the spring.
Anyone who would like more information about the Rescue Squad in general or would like an application or would like to donate a vehicle can contact President Michael Yevchak at 201-327-2772, ext. 110, or stop by the squad's headquarters, located at 33 South Island Avenue, on Thursday evenings.
